What is Wagefest?

Wagefest is our biggest event of the year: a celebration of small businesses and the amazing bookkeepers and accountants who power them (yes, you.)

This event is completely free, 100% virtual, and even better than free—you might leave with some great prizes. Bookkeepers and accountants can earn Certificates of Attendance for education and professional development credits, so feel free to bring a colleague along for the experience.

Who should attend?

Are you a business owner? What about an accountant or bookkeeper? Do you want to be?

If you fit into one of those categories, awesome, come hang out. If not, that’s okay. We welcome and celebrate anyone who’s eager to learn… while having a great time doing it.

How do I log in to Wagefest during event days?

Your best bet is to use your personal “magic link”, which we will email to you after you register for Wagefest (it can also be found in your calendar invite). Alternatively, you can log in using the general event link. Here’s how:

Open the general event link using Google Chrome
Log in with your Registered Email ID (the email you used when registering for Wagefest)
A Log in code will be sent to your email
Copy the code and paste it in the respective field
Log in to the platform

What are the system requirements for attending the conference?

All you need is a solid internet connection. We recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome for a smooth experience. Though Wagefest is accessible on all devices, we suggest using a laptop or desktop to get the full (and awesome) experience. Also, we recommended enabling browser pop-ups for the event. Blockers may impact sessions surveys, polls, alerts, sound, and other vital Wagefest features. Specifically for those earning certificates, surveys must be completed to receive credit. How to enable pop-ups for: Chrome, Safari. Firefox, Edge.

How is my data being protected?

Protecting your privacy is a non-negotiable for us, and it’s why we’ve partnered with a virtual platform that shares our same commitment. Read more about Hublio’s security and privacy practices.

Event Participation, Points, and Prizes

I can't make it. Can I still access the sessions?

We’ll miss you

, but please register anyway. Sessions will be available on demand after the event concludes.

Keep in mind that there are special perks to attending live virtually (like networking and the chance to win prizes), so we hope to see you there.

What are "WagePoints" and how do I redeem them?

WagePoints are free gamification points that (live) Wagefest attendees can earn by completing Wagefest activities! Top earners will receive prizes.

Earning WagePoints will help you rank on our gamification leaderboard.

When will I get my prize?

Depending on who is the prize donor, either Wagepoint or one of our sponsors will reach out after Wagefest to coordinate delivery.

Only Canadian residents are eligible for prizes.

Can I speak directly with exhibitors?

You sure can.

Depending on the booth, they’ll offer one or more of the following options:

One-on-one text chat
Booking a meeting for a private video chat
Group chat

Can I ask questions during sessions?

Absolutely. Depending on the session, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions either during or after the presentation through the live chat feature. We love interacting, so feel free to chime in when the moment comes.

Certificates of Attendance

What are Certificates of Attendance and how do they work?

Anyone requiring education credit (ex. accountants or bookkeepers) can receive certificates of attendance to use towards their continuing professional development (CPD). Note: We can not confirm that this will meet the requirements set by all designation authorities.

Which sessions are Certificates of Attendance available for?

We’ll indicate whether they qualify next to the session details.

How can I collect my certificate(s)?

They will be sent automatically after the conference. Please allow one week to receive them.
